At YB Tracking, we are fortunate to meet some truly extraordinary individuals.
When they describe their ambitions, it's often hard to imagine how they could possibly achieve them.
One such individual is Bob van de Burgt, a remarkable 22-year-old who set out to complete a double crossing of the English Channel in support of Spieren voor Spieren, a foundation dedicated to defeating muscle diseases in children.
Equipped with a foiling windsurfer and an unshakable determination, Bob embarked on his mission. Although he had to abandon his first attempt, his perseverance paid off.
On his second try, after an 18-hour journey covering over 250 miles (400 kilometres) through treacherous, ship-laden waters and relentless seas, Bob successfully windsurfed from Scheveningen, Netherlands, to England and back—all in a single day.
We extend our heartfelt congratulations to Bob and his team for this incredible achievement.
